I'm a new patient with Wellspring and I've had my first two appointments with both of the two dentists in this office. They are very kind calm knowledgeable and they take there time when completing work. I needed a filling in my front teeth and they were starting to wear down from me grinding them. I also had two yellow marks on them. I was concerned that my teeth might look worse after I had the work done on them. Well I was pleasantly surprised when all was said and done when I looked in the mirror and saw what an improvement had been made to my smile :) These dentists care. Brooke the dental assistant is very pleasant and knows what to do right along side the dentists. They work well as a team. The receptionist is very kind and always willing to help with my benefit claims. Would recommend 100%

Went in for an extraction and a filling. I was very nervous having had bad experiences elsewhere but this was probably the best experience I've ever had. I was in the chair at my exact scheduled time. The dentist was very gentle and everything was well explained before hand. They froze my mouth with some gel stuff first and I barely felt the needle. All done in 30 minutes. Pain free. Two thumbs up! All the stars!! Will definitely return!!

Had a great first experience. The front desk and the hygienist were both Extremely friendly and answered all the questions I had. My appointment was right on time I did not have to wait in the seating area. They even were able to book an appointment for my sons first cleaning with little wait for first time visit. Overall I was quiet happy and would recommend this place for anyone who needs to visit a dentist.

Our 3 year old grandson first dental appointment and it was a great experience! The dental hygienist was so great with him and showed him all the equipment and made sure he was comfortable before moving on. They were definitely use to dealing with younger patients! The toy machine at the end was a great addition for children! The dentist was also very friendly as was all the staff! Thanks for a great visit!

I had years of experiencing dentist that only seem to want to constantly sell me procedures that didn't really need. Wellspring gives me options to suit my budget. This dentist listens then gives options. Finally a dentist that honestly cares about you and not just his pocket finances. Staff are also very nice and friendly and pretend to laugh at my jokes. 😁

Wonderful staff. I switched from another dental office. They listened to my concerns. My appointments went very smoothly. Did not try to get me to do anything I didn't really need. And I'm an anxious patient but the hygienist was fantastic and my whole experience was the best I've ever had in a dental office. I strongly recommend Wellspring Dental!

The best dental office i have been to in my life. The staff is so fantastic friendly the customer service is top! I always feel well cared for they go out of the way to help you. The back and fourth between the dentist and the hygienist makes you feel comfortable and part of the conversation even if you can't talk back! Would recommend them 10/10!

Until I switched dentists I just assumed it was suppose to be a brutal thing that you had to do a few times a year. Now I realize it's not! Update 3 years later: Wellspring dental continues to be awesome and the staff are just fantastic!! Dr Chintan Thakkar

General Dentist

Dr. Chintan Thakkar graduated from Gujarat University, India in 2007 where he completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

He has been practicing dentistry for 13 years and became an NDEB certified and RCDSO licensed practitioner in 2018.

Dr. Thakkar is passionate about providing the highest quality of dental care to all his patients and is focused on a patient-centred practice.
Dr Eugene Michtchenko

General Dentist

Dr. Eugene Michtchenko (Dr. Mitch) was born in a small town in Kazakhstan. He earned his first dental degree in the Russian Federation in 1996. A few years later, driven by a desire to explore the world, he moved to Canada in 2002. After settling in Toronto, Dr. Mitch worked in construction and security while preparing to complete his Canadian dental licensing requirements.

In 2007, he was accepted into the International Dentist Advanced Placement Program at the University of Toronto, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2010. Following graduation, Dr. Mitch spent several years practicing across Northern Ontario, gaining valuable experience in communities such as Sault Ste. Marie, Chapleau, Timmins, Deep River, and Pembroke, as well as in larger cities including Ottawa and Windsor. Clinically, he has a strong interest in total smile makeovers and anterior (esthetic) dentistry, while also enjoying the full scope of general “bread and butter” dentistry.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mitch enjoys beekeeping, gardening at his hobby farm, fishing, hunting, boating, spending time with friends, and relaxing in a traditional Finnish sauna.
